Welcome to Somis Union School District 

Somis Union is a special place! Serving students in kindergarten through the eighth grade since 1895. The small, family oriented environment is designed to meet the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs of our children and our community. The K-8 organization creates a seamless path through the elementary grades, allowing families to attend one school from kindergarten through promotion to the high school. The instructional program and curriculum address the unique ways in which each student learns. 

 District and School Setting

The School campus houses the District office, a comprehensive K-8 school and a large home school program.
The facilities are modern, featuring current technology available in every classroom.  Monthly Board meetings are held in the school library and the public is encouraged to attend.  A modern electronic marquee keeps the community informed of the many activities that are happening on a daily basis.

The recently refurbished auditorium is a multipurpose room that hosts the District’s excellent music program.  Students participate in Band, dance team, and theater productions. A large playground and lighted fields serve both the school and the community, including baseball, football and soccer leagues. The Boys and Girls Club of Camarillo - Somis Campus are on campus Monday through Friday from 2 pm till 6pm. In addition, 4-H groups meet on campus weekly.   Working in partnership with all of the neighbors, the school is the center of activities, opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom.
